AACOS to Sponsor Annual Food Allergy Awareness Campaign

AACOS will again be supporting the annual Teal Pumpkin Project® put on by the Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) organization.* This year we are giving out yard signs to call more attention to the Teal Pumpkin Project®. Yard signs will be available at all locations starting 10/15.

Raising Awareness about Food Allergies

The Teal Pumpkin Project® is a national campaign to raise awareness about food allergies during the Halloween season. The campaign encourages those celebrating Halloween to vary their giveaways so trick-or-treaters who can’t have candy because of food allergies (or other health-related issues) avoid potential complications. Placing a Teal Pumpkin Project® flyer on the door or posting a yard sign – which can be picked up at AACOS – will show participants that non-food treats are available at that home.

During the last several years, households throughout the world haven taken part in the Teal Pumpkin Project®. AACOS hopes you will join them in support of this important – and potentially life-saving – initiative.

To find out more about the campaign or to download flyers and other related materials, visit tealpumpkinproject.org. You can also call AACOS if you have questions about what else you can do to promote food allergy awareness.
