Allergy Tip of the Day: COPD
Pollen Forecast: Pollen continues the trend it is on with trees and grasses remaining low and weeds continuing to be moderate. Molds will fluctuate dependent on humidity and rain as we see storms the next two afternoons. Saturday and Sunday will be drier so expect pollen levels to increase slightly and mold to decrease slightly.
Did You Know?: COPD
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is an “umbrella-term” for collection of lung diseases including chronic bronchitis, emphysema, chronic obstructive airways disease, and refractory (non-reversible) asthma. It’s caused by long-term exposure to irritating gases or particulate matter, most often from cigarette smoke. People with COPD are at increased risk of developing heart disease, lung cancer and a variety of other conditions.
