With the weather turning cooler and the leaves changing colors, many people are setting their sights to autumn activities. For those looking for a fun activity on a crisp, fall day in Pueblo, Colorado, Pantaleo Farms offers pumpkin patch hayrides every weekend in October.
Pantaleo Farm’s The Great Pumpkin Patch by Moonlight event is an annual family favorite. The Great Pumpkin Patch is open from 4 PM until 11 PM on Fridays in October, from 9 AM to 11 PM on Saturdays in October, and from 9 AM until 10 PM on Sundays in October and on Columbus Day. Admission to the pumpkin patch is free, ‘Spookley the Square Pumpkin’ Theatre is free, as well as free hayrides.
Besides the hayride, there are plenty of other activities to keep every member of the family entertained. There are pony rides, an inflatable haunted house, a bounce house, bungee racing, a 30 foot slide and unique autumn crafts. The farm also has pumpkin picking, fun costume contests and plenty of ghosts and ghouls to make your Halloween season memorable. Food provided by the Pueblo Chili Company is available to purchase as well.
For fall allergy sufferers, pumpkin patches and hayrides are often off-limitsdue to the annoying symptoms of allergies. Fun Halloween events can also be accompanied by itchy watery eyes, a runny nose and wheezing. Having seasonal allergies doesn’t mean an end to autumn outdoor trips. There are several options available for children and adults to help relieve symptoms. The Asthma and Allergy Associates, PC in Pueblo, Colorado, offers a comprehensive program designed to help relieve symptoms and allow patients to enjoy the outdoors once again. Allergy injections and a wide range of choices in allergy medications are only two of the options available for allergy sufferers.
An easy way to remember and know if you are experiencing allergy symptoms, think of the Disney movie Snow White. A little silly, we know, but very effective and very easy to remember! Just remember the “seven dwarfs of allergy:” Itchy, Runny, Drippy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey and Wheezy. If you experience any of these 7 dwarf symptoms of allergies, come see the allergists at AACOS to identify the triggers and to talk about hay fever treatment and solutions. For those who follow the recommended hay fever treatment, visiting Pantaleo Farms and enjoying all of those pumpkin patch hayrides can still be a fun and memorable experience. On Friday, October 18, come join the fun at the farm. To get there, take Business Hwy 50 East to 40th Lane, turn right on 40thLane and another right to get onto South Road. Parking is available on 40th Lane as well as 39651 South Road..
